I live in Canada and I just had a fence built in sienna brown in the sun it looks like a cedar with brown tones. We built one side on to an existing fence and I need to try and match that color, would you know of a semi transparent that would match up or close to a micro sienna brown wood. I am desperate.

Yes, the more pigment you have, the longer the UV protection.
How long can you store deck stain I will have some left and would like to keep it.
Less than a year if opened. Sometimes longer if you close the lid so there is not any evaporation. Has to be temperature controlled storage as well.
because of the poor condition of the logs on all but the north side of my cabin I probably need a penetrating stain for conditioning. is your semi-solid stain penetrating or does it basically coat the log?
The semi-solid is a penetrating stain as long as you prep the wood properly and remove all previous coatings, if any.

The ‘filler’ likely won’t take stain, and I’m wondering whether the color of your stain will darken with each subsequent application. (if so, my ‘patches’ would become progressively more apparent with each application).I’m thinking in particular of semi transparent or semi solid cedar.
Thanks in advance
Depends on how you prep. If you clean and brighten correctly, then it will not darken much through the years.
Have new red cedar deck. What stain do you recommend to maintain wood grain. Deck faces south with 3-4 hours of sun but also will get sap from Maple and pine trees. Also when since this is a new deck when should we stain and will we need to use a cleaner and brightner on it. Thank you
See this about new wood: http://www.armstrongclarkstain.com/new-decking-and-armstrong-clark-stain
Use a semi-transparent color after the wait and prep.

More pigment in the semi-solid colors. The Amber is a semi-trans.

Is the Amber slightly lighter?
Amber has 3 times the trans oxides as the cedar. Color is about the same between the two. Amber may be a little darker.
Hi,
I have two projects that I could use some advise on.
1. A few years ago a stripped, brightened a large mahogany porch and finished with your product…came out great. It is a little worn now in places so I guess it’s time for a redo or some patching. So what do I do? Can I use a cleaner and then stain over what I have or do I strip and brighten again?
2. I also have a deck that sits over a lake so I want to be environmentally conscious. So when it’s time to redo the deck I can power wash, but don’t think I should use anything too strong. Do you have any stains or finishes that don’t require a lot of heavy strippers when its time for a redo?
Any thoughts would be helpful. Please email or call 617 835 3694.
Thanks
1. Clean and brighten then reapply.
2. All of the AC stains can be cleaned and reapplied when time to redo.

The Woodland Brown is a reddish color, not a brown. Brown would be Rustic Brown or Oxford Brown.
I have viewed the available stain colour options on the company website but would prefer to see colours on a physical product such as a product pamphlet. I find it hard to decide between Sequoia and Woodland Brown, for example. Is a pamphlet available? If so could it be mailed to me at:

Willing to pay for this …
Thanks very much.
A pamphlet will not give you any more options then looking at a color swatch on the computer. Final color is based on your wood type and age of wood. That is why we offer actually samples to test.
Does the “Natural” stain offer as much UV protection as the other colors, or will my cedar deck turn gray quicker with this choice? I prefer the least amount of color, as the natural beauty of the tight knot cedar is so pleasant, but I don’t want to have to strip the deck every two years.
Natural is the lightest tint and will fade the fastest. You will have to redo every 1-2 years when using natural. The semi-transparent colors will last longer and the semi-solids a little longer than the semi-transparents.
Are the samples on the site the same product for the IPE wood?
There are two colors that we suggest for IPE. amber and Mahogany. These colors can also be used on other wood types. There are the same version/type, not two different types of stain.
